Wesley Chapel’s biggest monthly night out isn’t a restaurant opening or a concert — it’s a parking lot turned into a 150-vendor market. The Market Elaine takes over The Grove at Wesley Chapel on the first Friday of every month, and the August date falls on Friday, August 7, from 5:30 to 9:30 PM.
The scale is the draw: more than 150 local vendors set up for the single evening, selling everything from handmade jewelry and art to baked goods and specialty foods, alongside live music (much of it centered around KRATE at The Grove), food trucks, and a kids’ zone with a bounce house and face painting. Pet adoptions are typically part of the mix too, so it’s not unusual to see people leave with more than they came for.
There’s a genuinely sweet story behind the name. The market is organized by Market Culture, and according to the organizers, it’s named for the founders’ grandmothers, Elaine and Marie, both of whom passed away in 2021. “Both of these amazing women showed us how to dream big, prioritize family, and love others while making the world a brighter place,” the organizers have said of the market’s namesakes. The sister event, Market Marie, runs a similar night market in Clearwater — together, the two events carry on both grandmothers’ names.
