A chorizo chili cheese hash wasn’t on a breakfast menu anywhere in Land O’Lakes until this year. EggBred opened inside the Hub at Bexley at 16916 Focus Loop, building its menu almost entirely around made-to-order sandwiches rather than a diner-style line of eggs-your-way plates.
The core of the menu is breakfast sandwiches — bacon egg and cheese, pork sausage egg and cheese, pork chorizo egg and cheese, a fried chicken version called the Country Fried Chicken, and one called the Ben Franklin — plus a lunch-hours lineup that adds an EggBred cheeseburger, a Nashville Hottie and a milder Nashville Nottie chicken sandwich, a ribeye steak and egg sandwich, and a truffle crunch burger. The limited-time board right now runs a Dutch apple cheesecake waffle, a pastrami Rachel toastie, and a pumpkin spice cold brew.
For anyone who wants more than a sandwich, EggBred also runs a full burrito section — plain, applewood bacon, ribeye asada, buttermilk fried chicken, house pork sausage, house chorizo or black forest ham, plus loaded versions like the chili con carne burrito and the ribeye California — and a “Not Sandwiches” column with a build-your-own Benedict, a breakfast poutine, avocado toast and that chorizo chili cheese hash. A kids menu covers mini breakfast eggies, popcorn chicken, mac and cheese and a kid’s cheeseburger.
Coffee comes cold-brewed or hot-dripped, and the drink list adds Perrier, San Pellegrino, bottled sodas and cold-pressed juice — more of a sit-down-with-a-drink menu than a grab-a-coffee-and-go one.
One real caveat: EggBred’s own online menu doesn’t list a single price. Budget accordingly before you go, or check the in-app ordering system for exact numbers.
