Bonchon Brings a Full Sit-Down Menu to Its Second Tampa Bay Location in Wesley Chapel

Bonchon has been a mall-food-court name for years — order at the counter, grab a number, wait for the double-fried wings. The Wesley Chapel location, which opened May 20 inside The Hub at Lexington, throws that model out entirely.

This is Bonchon’s second Tampa Bay location, but the first built as a full sit-down restaurant: table service, a real bar program, and a dining room built for roughly 70 seats plus an outdoor patio. The Korean fried chicken itself — double-fried, tossed in soy garlic or spicy glaze — is the same recipe that built the chain’s reputation, but now it arrives at your table instead of a pickup counter.

For a Pasco County dining scene that’s added a wave of counter-service chains over the past few years, a full-service version of a fan-favorite brand is a different kind of bet — Bonchon is wagering people will sit down and stay a while for food that’s usually a quick grab-and-go.

Good to know: Bonchon Wesley Chapel is at 27093 Halter Loop, inside The Hub at Lexington.
