3rd Annual Tommy Awards
It’s the one show on Richey Suncoast’s August calendar that isn’t a touring act passing through — a New Port Richey night about New Port Richey people, and at under twelve dollars, the cheapest ticket in the building after the movie screening. That’s the 3rd Annual Tommy Awards, a local talent and community awards night now in its third year.

The earlier 5 p.m. doors are the actual draw, not just a formality: light bites from local eateries, a cash bar, and time to actually talk to the board, staff and volunteers who run the place before the 6 p.m. ceremony starts. Parking
No dedicated theatre lot, but three free options sit within walking distance: the New Port Richey Parking Structure at 6218 US-19 (24 hours, EV charging, its own downtown trolley), the Thomas Meighan lot on Nebraska Ave, and the Gloria Swanson lot on Bank St. Sunday evening downtown is typically quieter than a Friday or Saturday, so parking is the easiest of any show on this month’s calendar.
One thing to know before you go
Come for the 5 p.m. doors, not just the 6 p.m. ceremony — the pre-show hour with local food and the people who actually run the venue is the part regulars come back for. This is a community night, not a polished touring production, and that’s the appeal rather than a caveat.
