Six different events are already locked into the Richey Suncoast Theatre’s calendar between now and the start of December, and no two of them look alike. A Kill Tony alum doing stand-up, a free karaoke night on Halloween, a monthly open mic for local writers and musicians, a six-performance play, a free screening for families, and a second comedy show over Thanksgiving weekend — all inside the same 1925 building on Grand Boulevard.
None of these have a write-up yet, so here’s all six in one place: what each one costs, when doors open, and the one thing worth knowing before you buy.
Marty Malloy, stand-up comedy — Friday, Oct. 30
Marty Malloy won the 2026 Kill Tony Golden Ticket, which in comedy circles is the closest thing to a scouting report — it means a national touring club already decided he’s worth a feature slot. The Cleveland comic brings that set to downtown New Port Richey for one night only.
Doors open 45 minutes before showtime. Reserved seating runs $13 to $22, with a VIP box seating up to four at $122 plus fees and tax.
One thing to know before you go: buy direct through the theatre’s own site or box office. Third-party resellers routinely mark these tickets up, and only tickets bought through the venue are honored at the door.
Good to know: 6237 Grand Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Friday, Oct. 30, 8 p.m., doors at 7:15 p.m. $13–$22 reserved, $122 VIP box for four. (727) 842-6777. See this show on our calendar.
Free Halloween Karaoke — Saturday, Oct. 31
There’s no ticket for this one. The historic stage turns the mic over to whoever signs up, and on Halloween night that means a free, open karaoke floor for anybody willing to get up there in costume — or not.
Sign-ups are first-come, first-scare. Concessions run beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks the whole time, and costumes are encouraged but not required.
One thing to know: there’s no ticket to reserve, so your spot in the singing queue is claimed in person at sign-in. Arriving right at 7 gets you a far better slot than showing up at 8:30.
Good to know: 6237 Grand Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Saturday, Oct. 31, 7 to 10 p.m. Free, all ages. (727) 842-6777. See this event on our calendar.
Spotlight Poetry Night — Saturday, Nov. 7
Once a month, the theatre hands its own stage to the county’s writers, singers and storytellers instead of a touring act. Any kind of performer is welcome — spoken word, acoustic guitar, singing — and the microphone is provided.
It’s free to attend and free to perform. Sign-ups to get on stage run through an online form on the theatre’s own site, first come, first served, so the people who want a slot should claim one before the night of.
Good to know: 6237 Grand Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Saturday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m., doors at 6:30 p.m. Free. (727) 842-6777. See this event on our calendar.
Noises Off — Nov. 13–22, six performances
A touring theatre troupe falls apart in real time — slamming doors, missed cues, flying sardines — in Michael Frayn’s backstage farce, directed by Kelly McGuire. It’s the one full production in this run, rather than a one-night booking, and it gets six performances across two weekends to prove it.
Evening shows are 7 p.m. on Nov. 13, 14, 20 and 21, with 2 p.m. matinees on Nov. 15 and 22. General admission is $32 plus tax; a VIP box runs $185 plus tax. The show is recommended for ages 12 and up.
One thing to know: the Nov. 13 evening performance is ASL interpreted, which is worth building a plan around if that matters to your group — it’s only offered once in the run.
Good to know: 6237 Grand Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Six shows, Nov. 13–22; evenings 7 p.m. (13th, 14th, 20th, 21st), matinees 2 p.m. (15th, 22nd); Nov. 13 is ASL interpreted. $32+tax general, $185+tax VIP box for four. Ages 12+. (727) 842-6777. See this show on our calendar.
The Polar Express Experience — Friday, Nov. 27
The City of New Port Richey, the public library and the theatre are splitting the bill on this one, which is why it’s free. Pajamas are encouraged, hot cocoa and cookies are included, and Santa shows up after the film — the day after Thanksgiving, with nowhere else most families need to be.
There are two showings, each with its own pre-show window: doors at 1:15 p.m. for the 2 p.m. screening, and 6:15 p.m. for the 7 p.m. screening. Reservations are required even though the event is free, since seats aren’t unlimited.
Good to know: 6237 Grand Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Friday, Nov. 27, two showings — 2 p.m. (doors 1:15 p.m.) and 7 p.m. (doors 6:15 p.m.). Free, reservations required. (727) 842-6777. See this event on our calendar.
Kick the Bucket List, comedy — Saturday, Nov. 28
Three clean comics — John Carfi, Scott Novotny and Bob Burr — bring their act to New Port Richey after packing houses in more than 55 Florida communities. “Clean” is doing real work in that description if you’re deciding whether to bring the in-laws or the kids.
Two shows, same day: 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., both reserved seating at $20 to $25, with a VIP box for four at $150.
One thing to know: balcony seats aren’t sold in advance for this one. They’re walk-up only, day of show, so that’s the fallback if the main floor sells out rather than a seat you can lock in ahead of time.
Good to know: 6237 Grand Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Saturday, Nov. 28, two shows at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. $20–$25 reserved, $150 VIP box for four; balcony seats walk-up only, day of show. (727) 842-6777. See this show on our calendar.
Good to know about the venue
Richey Suncoast Theatre is at 6237 Grand Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34652, phone (727) 842-6777. It’s a non-profit performing arts theatre in a restored 1925 building, which is a lot of why six events this different can share one calendar — comedy, karaoke, poetry, a play run and a free kids’ movie, all in the same room within a five-week stretch.
Buy direct through the theatre’s site or box office rather than a resale site where it’s offered as an option — the venue asks for it specifically, and only tickets bought direct are guaranteed at the door.
Showtimes and prices are taken from the theatre’s own calendar and can change — confirm with the venue before you go.
