The Shops at Wiregrass Candy Crawl Moves to This Sunday

The first 500 kids through the door get a free treat bag and a mini pumpkin to decorate — the Shops at Wiregrass runs its Candy Crawl this Sunday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., moved from its original Oct. 10 date (no reason given for the change, just a new one posted).

Presented by Bright Horizons, the event fills the center with Touch-a-Truck vehicles, a bounce house and inflatable obstacle course, candy and treats handed out by local businesses along the way, and live entertainment. A costume contest for kids, adults, and groups runs at 1:30 p.m., with sign-ups at the Fun 4 Tampa Kids/Tampa Bay Moms Group table near the stage — costumes are optional for the rest of the event, so nobody needs one just to show up for the candy and the trucks.

There’s also a costume swap and donation station on site, which is a detail easy to miss among the bigger draws — worth knowing if last year’s costume doesn’t fit anymore and you’d rather trade than buy new.

Because it got bumped from its original early-October date, it’s now the last big kids’ Halloween event at the center before the holiday itself rather than one of several spread across the month — plan accordingly if you were holding out for something closer to Oct. 31.

If the rest of your weekend needs filling in too, here’s the full Pasco County lineup through Sunday.

Good to know: 28211 Paseo Drive, Wesley Chapel, FL 33543. Sunday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free to attend; treat bags and pumpkins limited to the first 500 kids.
