Side Splitters Comedy Club at The Grove runs live comedy Thursday through Sunday every week, with national touring headliners most nights — but Thursday is the one built for local comics instead: Comic’s Night Out, an open mic that gives newer and regional comedians stage time in front of a real room.
Shows start at 7:30pm. It’s a different kind of night than the weekend headliner shows — rougher around the edges, shorter sets, more range in quality — but it’s also the cheapest, most local way into the club, and the room that local comics themselves are more likely to be in the crowd for.
Good to know: Side Splitters Comedy Club, 6333 Wesley Grove Blvd, Theater #7, Wesley Chapel. Thursdays, 7:30pm. This is a recurring weekly show, not a one-time event — check Side Splitters’ own listing before heading out, since lineups and occasional dark weeks do happen.
