Four real, dated things are confirmed in Pasco County this Saturday, Oct. 3 — and the plant sale is in its tenth year running. Here’s what’s actually on, in order of start time.
Morning
West Coast Region Fall Classic — Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus, 3021 Sports Coast Wy, Wesley Chapel. 7 a.m.
Special Olympics Florida’s West Coast Region holds its fall competition at Wiregrass Ranch’s sports complex. The event page doesn’t list an admission price or a contact line specific to the event, so check the organization’s main number if you need details before Saturday.
10th Annual Gardening 365 Festival & Plant Sale — Wesley Chapel District Park. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
UF/IFAS Extension Pasco runs this one every first Saturday in October, and this year marks ten. It’s not just a plant sale — it’s the Master Gardener Volunteer Program’s main fundraiser, and the money goes toward keeping their other community programs free the rest of the year rather than into the festival itself. Questions go to (352) 518-0156 or Gardening365Festival@gmail.com.
Late Morning
GTE Financial Grand Opening — 9746 Little Road, New Port Richey. 10 a.m. to noon.
Free food and music, a kids zone with face painting and bounce houses, plus a money machine and giveaways for the new branch’s opening. Organization line: 813-871-2690.
Crafty Creations: Spooktacular Creations — Zephyrhills Public Library, 5347 8th Street, Zephyrhills. 10 to 11 a.m.
A monthly themed kids’ craft program, Halloween-themed this round. Space is limited but registration isn’t required — show up. Library contact: zh@pascolibraries.org, 813-780-0064.
Good to know
Times, costs and contacts above are pulled directly from each organizer’s own listing and can change before Saturday — confirm before you go, especially for the two events that don’t publish an admission price online.
