Sixty rotating ice cream flavors now sit inside a storefront on Land O’ Lakes Boulevard that didn’t exist before this spring. Cotee River Creamery & Desserts opened its third location at 6745 Land O’ Lakes Blvd at the end of March, following the original New Port Richey shop and a Spring Hill location.
The ice cream is still churned at the original New Port Richey kitchen and trucked out daily. The flavor rotation leans hard into variety over a fixed core lineup — banana cream pie, biscoff cookie butter, blackberry lavender, black raspberry fudge, blue moon, carrot cake, coffee crunch, confetti cupcake, heath bar crunch, key lime pie, moose tracks, pumpkin pie and salted caramel have all been in the mix — alongside at least six dairy-free and vegan options and a handful of boozy, alcohol-infused scoops. Beyond ice cream, the Land O’ Lakes shop adds coffee and lattes and a wider dessert case: cookies, brownies, cake pops, Buckeyes and Rice Krispie treats.
Seating inside is tight, around eight seats, so the bigger draw is the patio out back, built with families and evening hangouts in mind rather than a quick grab-and-go counter.
One real caveat: the storefront doesn’t post a food menu beyond desserts and coffee. The company has talked about adding a light lunch option as the location settles in, but as of this writing that hasn’t happened.
