The Beef O’Brady’s that used to anchor Towne Centre on Wesley Chapel Boulevard is a different pub now. 1916 Irish Pub moved into that space this year, a fourth Tampa Bay-area location for owner Chuck Jamieson, who already runs 1916 locations in Brandon, Plant City and Lakeland.
The menu runs long. Small plates cover wings by the pound ($11.99 traditional, $14.99 boneless), a Gulf Coast fish spread, a beer cheese and pretzel plate, Irish nachos, house-made mozzarella sticks and Cajun popcorn shrimp, most in the $11.99-$16.99 range. Flatbreads — Hell’s Kitchen, the Emerald Isle, Big Fat Greek, buffalo chicken, chicken bacon ranch, Margherita, a Cuban version — run $13.99-$15.99.
Sandwiches are where the menu leans hardest into its Irish-pub identity: a Rebel’s Reuben, a County Cork corned beef, an Irish lamb jam, an Irish stew sandwich and a Kobe beef burger at $19.99, with most other sandwiches splitting into half ($10.99) and whole ($17.99) sizes. A separate dinner menu kicks in at 4pm with a Guinness braised short rib ($27.99), chicken pasta carbonara ($19.99) and parmesan crusted chicken ($20.99). Dessert is a single Irish cream cheesecake at $13.99, with a rotating seasonal dessert priced at market rate.
It’s a sports pub first — there’s a football-season specials board running corned beef quesadillas, a Guinness pub dog and poutine with gravy — built around TVs and a bar more than a date-night dining room, the same formula running at the chain’s other three Tampa Bay locations.
One real caveat: this location’s hours and phone number come from a single business listing rather than the chain’s own site, which doesn’t yet show Wesley Chapel-specific hours. Call ahead to confirm before a late-night visit.
