The Downtown Saturday Market at Avalon Park Returns to Wesley Chapel Oct. 10

Farm-fresh produce and handmade crafts take over the corner of Friendly Way and Meeting Street every other Saturday morning — the Downtown Saturday Market at Avalon Park runs its next round Oct. 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It’s a small-vendor market, not a big-box event: local small businesses set up with farm-fresh produce, handmade goods, artisanal treats, and crafts, organized by Florida Penguin Productions on a steady second-and-fourth-Saturday schedule. Free entry, free parking, and the space is handicap accessible.

It’s not weekly, which is the one thing worth knowing before you plan around it — skip a second Saturday and the next one isn’t until the fourth. Worth checking the actual date before making the drive.

If the timing lines up with The Market Elaine’s First Friday pop-up or a Caribbean Night at KRATE at the Grove, Wesley Chapel has had more going on most weekends lately than it used to.

Good to know: 4424 Friendly Way, Wesley Chapel, FL 33543. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free entry and parking.
